Steampacket Inn

The Steam Packet Inn was originally built in the early 1870’s however back then it was known as The Steam Packet Hotel, a very popular watering hole with rivermen and stevedores due to its close proximity to the wharf. Today it is a National Trust Classified unique boutique Bed & Breakfast which can accommodate up to 24 guests including children, yes we are child friendly.

Today you can experience this historic Echuca accommodation residence right on the Murray River, in the Port of Echuca. The Steampacket Inn offers comfortable, friendly and accommodation in a heritage listed country inn Built in 1873. There are ten rooms reflecting the old world charm of the building. Delightful guest sitting room upstairs, overlooking the river gums, cool walled garden with fountain, where you can sit and watch the Horse and carriage roll by.

A full country breakfast is served in our morning room from locally sourced produce, including a hot plate, cooked especially for you as you require. As part of the old port precinct, all attractions are within an easy walk.
