Located on a sand hill wedged between the Murray and Goulburn Rivers, Cape Horn Vineyard is named after the river bend resembling Cape Horn on the tip of South America. The Vineyard was first planted to Shiraz grapes in the l860's, serving the thriving River Boat trade. Being half way between Echuca and Barmah, Cape Horn was a convenient stopping spot for the river-boats. The Vineyard and Winery evolved as a consequence. Cape Horn was also a popular picnic spot for day-trippers from Echuca in the 1900's. Open 11am-5pm Tuesday-Friday, Noon-5pm Sunday. Closed Monday except Public and School Holidays.
