Did you know - Echuca was founded by Henry Hopwood, an ex-convict who in 1850 bought a small punt which operated across the Murray River. The settlement was originally know as 'Hopwoods Ferry until named 'Echuca' in 1854.

Echuca Secondary College is a mid-sized state secondary school in Echuca, Victoria, Australia. It was formerly known as Echuca Technical School or Echuca Tech.

The history of the school dates back to the late 1800s when the school was known as Echuca Technical School. Echuca Tech became no longer a technical school in the early 1990s and moved to the Butcher Street site, where it remained until late 2005 when it was decided that the school is to be merged with the other state secondary school in Echuca, that being Echuca High School. It is now called Echuca College.
