Echuca South Primary School is situated in pleasant surroundings near the Campaspe River. It has served the people of the South and West of Echuca for more than two decades. Our grounds are spacious with excellent playground equipment and sporting facilities. The school enrolment has grown at a steady rate. Children come from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

Our school emphasises the safety and wellbeing of every child by providing an environment that is safe and secure. We actively encourage children to develop to their full potential. Students have the opportunity to participate in leadership positions such as School Captains, Junior School Council representatives and House Captains. We extend individual potential throughout the school by encouraging, recognising and rewarding achievement and effort. Higher Achievers Programs are in place. Echuca South promotes self-image, respect for others and self-discipline which helps to develop life skills such as responsibility, communication, independence, inquiring minds, problem solving and creativity. We have a commitment to Assertive Discipline procedures with an emphasis on positive recognition.

The school consists of a well maintained core building incorporating administration and staff area, modern library/learning technology area, refurbished art room and refurbished classrooms with opportunity for some open teaching areas.

Current projects being undertaken by the school are upgrading of classroom facilities, linkage of computer technology between library and classrooms and implementation of grounds improvement master plan.
